Background

This workshop will explore the latest technologies in model-partner software. It will also explore the modelling mindset – and will discuss how proper model design can have a profound effect on modelling success. Decision-support isn’t automatic just because someone builds a model. It must be built into the modelling workflow from the ground up.

The morning session will discuss theory and methodologies. The afternoon session will address practice. Common groundwater management problems will be presented for a group discussion on how these problems can be decomposed into components that support information harvesting on the one hand, and risk assessment on the other.
